MarKay is an empathic psychotherapist who can help you find the courage and strength to embrace the life lessons your hardships are teaching you and to grow from them. A relational therapist, she is passionate about making space for her clients to bring their struggles and authentic selves, often incorporating humor. After starting her career in Community Mental Health with traditional talk therapy, she began the search for ways to help people heal, which led her to psychotherapy models Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Utilizing these modalities bridged the gap from symptom management to discovering and healing the root of the struggles. MarKay respects people from all walks of life, but for those who would like their Christian faith to be an integral part of their therapy process, she offers integration of Christianity with IFS and EMDR. She also offers support groups for sexual abuse survivors and for those who have endured church hurt. She has two grown daughters and resides with her husband of 34 years and two cats.
